A Professional Recording Studio, Upstate New York
From the early days… to now
Between 1995 and 2013, my facilities 15 East 31st Street, just blocks from the Empire State Building, were a time capsule for New York’s finest and most diverse music. I had the privilege of working with stellar musicians from across the world as they passed through town. But the relentless New York rush, tracking between gigs, flights, or appointments, meant sessions were efficient and rewarding, yet ultimately exhausting. After nearly two decades in a control room with no daylight, I moved to Upstate New York to change rhythm and enjoy the wildlife of the Hudson Valley.
In 2020, when the pandemic halted a project that I was overseeing on the coast of Maine, my crew and I chose to confine Upstate New York and build a world class studio on my property, tucked in the woods by the Hudson River.
We integrated nature directly into the architecture. Here, the recording process is framed by the change of seasons and the surprise of a fox or deer passing by the windows. We quickly discovered that when musicians arrived for a day, the stillness of the woods made them unwind so deeply that they didn’t want to leave. To support that flow, we transformed part of our home to host our guests, allowing the creativity to breathe without interruption.
Since 1995, One Soul Studios has evolved tremendously. We moved from the “speed and efficiency” of the city where every mic was pre-set to maximize takes to a residential destination where we take the time to listen, take chances, and define the artistic colors of a project together.
I believe these last 31 years as an acoustician and engineer have been a preparation for the best work yet to come.

Creation is a collective
“Technical precision, top tier equipment & great acoustics matter, but 31 years in the studio, have taught me that partnership matters more. I aspire to provide the technical support needed to protect your creative flow, ensuring the technology always serves the music—never the other way around.”
In the city, recording is often about efficiency. Here, it is also about exploration.
My role is to listen and ultimately capture the most authentic version of your work.
