Three Steinways... One Recording Studio !!!
We are proud to offer a world-class selection of three uniquely voiced Steinway Grand pianos, maintained exclusively for the purpose of recording.
The Steinway Collection
2005 Hamburg Steinway D
The gold standard for power and clarity
Formerly the premier concert instrument in Lausanne, Switzerland, this Model D has been under the fingers of the world’s most elite classical pianists, including Radu Lupu, Martha Argerich, and Hélène Grimaud. It offers an unparalleled palette of tonal colors, immense sustain, and a breathtaking dynamic range.
1904 New York Steinway B
A classic for jazz with a deep & sweet tone
From the “Golden Age” of the Queens factory in New-York, this instrument conveys the intimacy, warmth, and harmonic darkness characteristic present on most of Bill Evans recordings. It is the definitive choice for jazz and evocative, close-mic sessions.
1883 Centennial Steinway D
An unmatched historical tone & character
A rare and historically significant precursor to the modern D-274. Produced for a brief window between 1875 and 1884, it was specifically designed to showcase Steinway & Sons’ engineering at the 1876 Philadelphia World’s Fair. It was during this event that Henry Steinway won a prestigious competition against the world’s finest piano makers, effectively establishing STEINWAY & SONS as the global luxury standard. Fully rebuilt for our studio, it possesses a unique “period” sound that provides an authentic voice for the works of Couperin and Scarlatti.
Why three steinways?
A Choice of Voices
Because no two Steinways sound alike, especially vintage ones, we provide three distinct instruments so you can choose the specific tone that fits your project and repertoire. From deep and woody to bright and clear.
The Right Feel
Every pianist has a different touch, and every piano action responds differently. Having three options ensures you find the keys that feel most natural to your playing style.

Dedicated piano technicians. Stable environment. Top tier microphone locker
Since 1995 we have been working and maintained a strong relationship with some of the best piano technicians in the tri state area. Presently Mr. Bobby Avey is our dedicated technician & tone master.
Our climate-controlled environment promotes the instruments’ stability year-round.
Paired with a top-tier microphone locker and premium digital & analog pre-amps, we provide the technical transparency required to capture your performance exactly how it sounds in the room…without concessions.
Three Steinways with unique voices carried by a space of acoustical excellence
Grand pianos require space to breathe. Engineered with a 22-foot-high vaulted ceiling, our main tracking room is designed to capture the full, uncompressed dynamic range of our pianos.
The acoustic architecture is tuned to promote a well-balanced bloom of all frequencies with a musical decay of up to 0.8 seconds which helps professional pianists feel less fatigue and more “connection” to their instrument.
When a player is inspired by the instrument and the acoustics, better performances are achieved in fewer takes.
